THE HOLY NAME CATHEDRAL WEDDING OF LAURA AND MICHAEL
I know I’m home when the parents of the bride offer me an espresso and I hear my language in every room. Laura and Michael share the Italian background and they really look like they were made for one another. Like bread and Nutella. Laura had seen my pictures from a previous wedding of friends I shot years ago. Last November I took their engagement pictures at Lincoln Park and we clicked right away. We knew we would make a good team. And few days ago we stopped at Lasalle Street and the panoramic Olive Park. Then there was pool dancing and twins head bopping while driving to the reception, at Gene and Georgetti in Rosemont, where a good crowd of guests from Italy kept the party going. My guest second shooter was the talented Aneta Wisniewska, who took the pictures of Mike in the morning and provided more pictures in this post.

Leaning off the rail, Michael’s brother asked me: “is this dangerous?” – “Uhmm, yes!” I said.

Running out of tunes, Laura asked: “shall we play Albano e Romina?” and I rolled my eyes all the way to the back of my head.
